The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has announced the dates and venues for the Under‑19 women’s T20 selection trials, slated to take place in Hyderabad later this month.
The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) disclosed the official timetable for the Under‑19 women’s T20 selection trials on Thursday. The trials will be conducted across two venues in Hyderabad, with the first session scheduled for 10 September at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium and the final round on 15 September at the L.B. Stadium.
Eligibility is limited to female cricketers born between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2007, who have participated in state‑level competitions. Players are required to register online through the HCA portal by 5 September, after which a shortlist will be invited for the trials.
HCA officials indicated that the selection process aims to identify a squad for the upcoming ICC Under‑19 Women’s T20 World Cup qualifiers. The association emphasized that the trials will be conducted under strict COVID‑19 protocols, with regular testing and limited spectator access.
The announcement follows a broader push by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to strengthen the women’s youth pipeline, and the selected team will join national camps later this year.
