New Delhi — The Haryana administration has formalised a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to systematically track the progress of resolutions adopted in the chief minister’s meetings. The document outlines clear responsibilities for departmental officers, timelines for reporting, and a digital dashboard that will be updated weekly.
According to the state’s Department of Personnel and Training, the SOP will be implemented across all ministries and will require each department to submit status reports on pending actions within ten days of a CM meeting. A senior officer from the Chief Minister’s Office will consolidate these inputs and present a summary to the cabinet.
Officials say the move is intended to enhance transparency, reduce delays in policy execution, and provide the chief minister with real‑time data on the status of key initiatives. The SOP is expected to be operational from the first week of October, with periodic reviews scheduled to fine‑tune the process.
Stakeholders, including opposition legislators, have welcomed the step, noting that a structured monitoring mechanism can help curb bureaucratic inertia and improve public service delivery in the state.
