The Haryana government has cleared infrastructure works worth Rs 283 crore, covering water supply, electricity and road development across the state.

The state cabinet of Haryana gave the green light to infrastructure projects totaling Rs 283 crore. The approved works span three critical sectors: water supply, power distribution and road construction, aiming to improve basic services and connectivity.

The water component includes the augmentation of existing pipelines and the creation of new reservoirs to address seasonal shortages. In the power sector, the allocation will fund the upgrade of transmission lines and the installation of substations to reduce outages.

Road development will focus on widening existing highways and constructing new link roads in rural and urban areas, enhancing trade routes and commuter safety. The funding is sourced from the state’s budget and is expected to be disbursed over the next fiscal year.

State officials said the projects are part of a broader push to modernise Haryana’s infrastructure and stimulate economic growth, with implementation to be overseen by relevant departmental agencies.
