During the event, senior advocate Harish Salve stressed that a constitutional democracy requires holding those in power accountable, and that criticism should not cross into denigration of India.
The ceremony was attended by several senior members of the legal fraternity, including SCBA President Vikas Singh and Attorney General for India R. Venkataramani.
