Former chief minister Harish Rawat stepped down from all Congress positions following the Enforcement Directorate’s raids on the Punjab Assembly, stating that no weakness should be tolerated.

Former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat resigned from all his positions within the Indian National Congress after the Enforcement Directorate conducted raids on the Punjab Assembly premises earlier this week.
The raids targeted alleged financial irregularities, and Rawat’s resignation followed shortly after the operation, signalling his disapproval of the action.
In a statement, Rawat said, "No weakness should come," underscoring the party’s need to maintain a firm stance against any perceived vulnerability.
The Congress leadership has yet to respond to the resignation, and it remains unclear how the party will fill the vacated roles.
