The Hapoli Forest Division in Arunachal Pradesh has announced a literary competition to encourage reading and writing among the local community.
The Hapoli Forest Division of Arunachal Pradesh has officially opened a literary competition aimed at fostering a culture of reading and writing in the region. The initiative, announced through a notice in The Arunachal Times, invites participants from schools, colleges and the general public to submit creative works in Hindi, English or local languages.
Organisers say the contest seeks to discover and nurture literary talent among residents of the Hapoli area and surrounding districts. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges comprising educators and literary experts appointed by the division.
The competition will run for a specified period, after which winners will be recognized in a ceremony hosted by the forest division. The event reflects the department's broader effort to engage communities beyond its core environmental mandate, promoting education and cultural activities in the state.
