Hailstorm Drenches Paddy in Jalandhar Markets

Jalandhar experienced a severe weather event yesterday, with a strong storm followed by a hailstorm. The impact was particularly felt in the local markets where paddy crops were being stored in the open. The hailstones, described as large and heavy, caused widespread damage to the paddy, leaving it soaked and vulnerable. Traders and farmers are now assessing the extent of the damage and the impact on their livelihoods.
