Police in Gwalior have detained four youths linked to an online betting and cyber fraud ring that moved 12 to 15 lakh rupees daily through fake mule accounts.
The Gwalior Crime Branch raided the Sawanri Dham area early this week and seized evidence of a large-scale betting operation.
The four suspects, all in their twenties, are accused of funneling daily payments of ₹12‑15 lakh through fabricated mule bank accounts.
Police say the scheme relied on fake identities and online platforms to attract bettors, then laundered the proceeds.
All four were booked under sections of the Information Technology Act and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The raid is part of a broader crackdown on cyber‑fraud networks in the state.
