Gwalior: Brother-in-law opens fire at in-law’s house over midnight wife‑take‑away, three arrested

In Gwalior, a brother‑in‑law fired at his sister‑in‑law’s residence while trying to take his wife from her parental home at midnight; two accomplices hurled stones, and all three suspects have been detained.
Police officials said that on Tuesday night, a man identified as the husband’s brother‑in‑law arrived at his sister‑in‑law’s house in Gwalior around midnight, demanding that his wife be handed over. When the request was resisted, he allegedly discharged a firearm inside the residence. Two young men accompanying him reportedly pelted the occupants with stones.
No one was injured in the exchange, and the stone‑throwing caused only minor property damage. Local residents alerted the police, who arrived promptly and secured the scene.
Investigators detained the three accused at the Gwalior police station. They are being held for further questioning on charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm, assault and criminal intimidation.
