After heavy rains disrupted traffic and communication, Guwahati authorities have restored connectivity, bringing the city back to normalcy.
Heavy rainfall in Guwahati last week caused widespread road closures and disrupted communication networks across the city.
Local authorities, including the Assam State Transport Department and municipal officials, worked through the night to clear debris and repair damaged infrastructure.
By early morning, most major roads were reopened and mobile network coverage was restored, allowing residents to resume daily activities.
The city’s traffic police reported a significant reduction in congestion, and public transport services resumed their normal schedules.
Officials have urged residents to remain cautious as sporadic showers are still expected in the coming days.
