Biker Shivani ‘Sia’ Chauhan, injured despite wearing protective gear, was struck on Golf Course Road; her brother Deepankar rejected driver Kalyan Bainsla’s assertion that the collision was accidental.

Shivani Chauhan, known as “Sia”, was riding a motorcycle on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road when she was hit by a car. Despite wearing full riding gear, she suffered injuries to her knees, hands and wrists, prompting immediate medical attention.
Her brother, Deepankar Chauhan, publicly refuted the driver’s statement that the incident was a mere accident. He emphasized that the impact was deliberate and that the injuries could not be dismissed as minor.
The driver, identified as Kalyan Bainsla, was apprehended in Rajasthan following the incident. Authorities have confirmed that his claim of an accidental collision has been rejected by the victim’s family, and the case is being treated as a hit‑and‑run under criminal investigation.
Police in Haryana have opened a formal inquiry, and the matter is expected to proceed to court where the severity of the injuries and the circumstances of the crash will be examined.
