India clinched a dramatic DLS win over New Zealand in the second ODI at Wellington, propelled by Gurnoor Brar’s four‑wicket haul in rain‑affected conditions.
The second One Day International between India and New Zealand was played in Wellington under intermittent rain, forcing officials to apply the Duckworth‑Lewis‑Stern (DLS) method to set a revised target. Despite the weather disruptions, the match concluded with India emerging as the winner.
Fast‑bowler Gurnoor Brar proved decisive, claiming four wickets at a crucial juncture of the innings. His spell not only restricted the New Zealand batting line‑up but also shifted momentum firmly in India's favour.
The DLS‑adjusted result gave India a narrow edge in the two‑match series, underscoring the impact of Brar’s performance in what turned out to be a tightly contested, rain‑hit encounter.
