Gunmen Open Fire on Former Councillor's House in Muzaffarpur, Bihar

Two assailants fired multiple rounds at the residence of former ward councillor Reika Kumari on Balughat Dam Road, Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, on Sunday night.
At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, two men on motorcycles opened fire on the house of former ward councillor Reika Kumari in the Sikandarpur police station area of Muzaffarpur district. The attack took place on Balughat Dam Road, where the assailants also targeted a nearby vehicle, shooting at it before retreating.
CCTV footage from the street captured the incident, showing the gunmen firing several rounds before fleeing the scene. Police were alerted immediately and arrived on the spot within minutes, securing the area and collecting evidence.
No injuries have been reported so far, and the authorities have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and their motive. The incident has raised concerns about security for local political figures in the region.
