Students across Gujarat began the Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) secondary examination today, reporting to designated centres statewide.
The Gujarat Secondary Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) for the secondary level started today, with candidates reporting to examination centres spread throughout the state.
The test, organised by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), serves as a mandatory screening for recruitment of teachers in government schools. Candidates from urban hubs such as Ahmedabad to remote districts like Kutch have arrived at the allotted venues to sit for the paper.
Board officials have deployed invigilators, security personnel and digital monitoring systems to ensure a smooth and transparent conduct of the examination. The question paper assesses pedagogical skills, subject‑specific knowledge and logical reasoning.
Evaluation of answer sheets will be carried out centrally, and the board has indicated that results will be declared later this month, enabling the next phase of teacher appointments.
