More than 70 special train services have been scheduled across Gujarat, and additional Railway Protection Force personnel have been posted at Ahmedabad’s major stations to manage the surge of travelers during the festive season.

Indian Railways has announced the operation of over 70 special train trips across Gujarat to accommodate the heightened passenger traffic associated with the upcoming festive period. The additional services are aimed at reducing congestion on regular routes and ensuring timely travel for holidaymakers.

To bolster security and crowd management, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has deployed extra personnel at key stations in Ahmedabad, including the central and suburban terminals. The reinforcement is intended to oversee ticket verification, platform safety and swift response to any untoward incidents.

Railway officials indicated that the special trains will run on a staggered schedule, covering major destinations such as Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot, thereby offering travelers more options and reducing pressure on existing services. The combined measures are expected to smooth the flow of passengers during the peak travel days.

No major disruptions have been reported so far, and the authorities have urged commuters to adhere to safety guidelines and arrive early at stations to avoid overcrowding.
