The Gujarat government has inaugurated a shared high‑performance computing (HPC) pool to support artificial intelligence projects across the state.
Gujarat has officially opened a shared high‑performance computing (HPC) pool aimed at providing advanced processing power for artificial intelligence initiatives. The state‑run facility will be accessible to research institutions, startups and other entities working on AI‑driven solutions, allowing them to run large‑scale models without the need for individual supercomputing infrastructure.
Officials said the pool is intended to accelerate the development of AI applications in sectors such as agriculture, healthcare and manufacturing, aligning with Gujarat's broader digital transformation agenda. By centralising resources, the government hopes to foster collaboration among academia, industry and government agencies.
The launch underscores Gujarat's commitment to building a robust AI ecosystem, positioning the state as a hub for cutting‑edge technology development in India.
