A couple from Gujarat is accused of cheating 29 individuals out of about ₹1 crore by promising overseas jobs and free accommodation.

Police in Gujarat have opened an investigation after several job seekers reported being duped by a local couple. The duo allegedly collected money from 29 victims, claiming to secure overseas employment and offering free accommodation as part of the package. The total amount taken from the victims is reported to be around ₹1 crore.

Victims say they were asked to pay fees upfront for processing, travel and housing, but the promised jobs never materialised. Many of those affected have approached law enforcement to file complaints and seek redress.

Authorities are now probing the couple's methods and tracing the flow of funds, while advising the public to exercise caution before paying any fees for foreign job placements.
