Gujarat Chief Minister made a brief stop in Ahmedabad to meet the head of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peeth, the Kanchi Shankaracharya. The meeting was arranged as part of the CM's itinerary that included visits to local temples and community institutions.
The chief minister sought the spiritual leader's blessings for the state’s ongoing development projects and for the welfare of its citizens. The Shankaracharya, seated in his traditional robes, received the CM with customary respects and offered prayers.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of harmony between governance and spiritual guidance, noting that such interactions reinforce cultural values in Gujarat. The visit concluded without any public statements beyond the mutual exchange of blessings.
The meeting underscores the continued practice of Indian political leaders seeking religious endorsement, a tradition that often resonates with the electorate in the region.
