Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel presided over the inauguration ceremony of a new cancer hospital in Patan on Monday, marking a significant addition to the state's healthcare infrastructure.
The facility, built at an estimated cost of several hundred crore rupees, houses state‑of‑the‑art radiotherapy units, surgical theatres, and a 150‑bed inpatient wing designed to serve patients from Patan district and surrounding regions.
During the event, the CM highlighted the government's commitment to expanding specialized medical services in rural areas, noting that the hospital will reduce the need for patients to travel to larger cities for treatment.
