Chief Minister of Gujarat unveiled plans for Valinath Gurukul, a new institution that will integrate moral values with formal education.

The Gujarat government, led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, announced the establishment of Valinath Gurukul, an educational initiative aimed at marrying conventional academic curricula with a strong emphasis on ethical and cultural values. The scheme is intended to address growing concerns that modern schooling often overlooks character building.

According to the CM, the Gurukul model will incorporate daily sessions on moral philosophy, community service, and regional heritage alongside standard subjects such as mathematics, science, and languages. The curriculum will be designed in consultation with educators, social workers, and cultural scholars to ensure a balanced approach.

The project is slated to launch in the upcoming academic year, with pilot centers to be set up in selected districts of Gujarat. Funding will come from the state’s education budget, and the administration expects the model to be replicated in other states if successful.
