Government Unveils New Uniform and Dress Code for CBSE Schools

The central government has issued fresh guidelines mandating a standardized uniform and dress code for all schools affiliated with the CBSE.
The Ministry of Education announced today that a uniform policy and a detailed dress code will become mandatory for every school under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The directive applies nationwide, covering primary, secondary and senior secondary institutions that are currently affiliated with CBSE. Schools will be required to adopt the prescribed attire within the stipulated transition period, which will be communicated in the forthcoming circular.
Officials said the move aims to promote equality among students, reduce socioeconomic disparities and simplify administrative oversight of school dress standards across the country.
