The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced a plan to build 14 sewage treatment plants across the region to prevent untreated drainage from flowing directly into the Jhelum River.
The administration said that the 14 proposed sewage treatment plants (STPs) will be located at various sites across Jammu and Kashmir to intercept drainage before it reaches the Jhelum River.
