Google Shakes Up AI Leadership

Google has made significant changes to its leadership in the DeepMind division, aiming to boost its artificial intelligence capabilities. Demis Hassabis, a key figure in the development of AI, will take on the role of chair of Google DeepMind and serve as Chief Scientist. This move is expected to accelerate Google's AI strategy and research. Koray Kavukcuoglu has also been appointed as Senior Vice President, overseeing the development of the Gemini model. Meanwhile, long-time employee Jeff Dean is leaving Google to launch a new public benefit corporation.
