Google expands AI teacher training programme to Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim

Google has extended its artificial‑intelligence teacher training initiative to three new Indian states – Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim. The move is part of the tech giant's broader effort to equip educators with AI‑driven teaching tools and methodologies.

The programme, delivered under the Google for Education umbrella, will provide teachers with hands‑on workshops, digital resources and ongoing support to integrate AI into classroom practices. State education departments are expected to coordinate the rollout and facilitate participation among schools.

By bringing the AI training to these regions, Google aims to bridge the digital divide and enhance the quality of instruction, especially in areas where access to advanced educational technology has been limited.

The initiative follows earlier pilots in other parts of the country, reflecting Google's commitment to scaling AI literacy among Indian educators.

Details on the schedule and the number of teachers to be trained will be released by the respective state education ministries in the coming weeks.
