Sundar Pichai announced new Google Gemini features aimed at students, including a dedicated hub, study notebooks and complimentary access to AI Pro or Plus for eligible college users.

Google's chief executive Sundar Pichai introduced a suite of educational enhancements to the Gemini platform, targeting school and college students across India. The rollout includes a dedicated student hub that aggregates study notebooks, research tools and AI‑driven assistance to help learners grasp topics and prepare for examinations.

Eligible college students will receive free subscriptions to Google AI Pro or Google AI Plus, allowing them to experiment with advanced generative models without additional cost. In addition, Google is offering bundled discounts that combine AI Pro access with YouTube Premium, aiming to make both learning and entertainment more affordable.

The initiative reflects Google's broader strategy to embed artificial intelligence into everyday education, positioning the company as a partner for academic institutions and individual learners alike. While the features are now live, Google has not disclosed the exact number of students expected to benefit in the first quarter.
