Google has blocked a YouTube clip uploaded by Indian content creator Rathee in India.
The clip, which was previously available on the platform, was removed after the company received a complaint alleging that it contained defamatory content.
According to Google’s statement, the video was taken down to comply with Indian defamation laws and to prevent the spread of potentially harmful material.
The block means that Indian users can no longer view the clip on YouTube, though it may still be accessible from other regions.
The decision follows a broader trend of social media platforms enforcing local legal requirements on user‑generated content.
