Goods Train Derails Near Kovvur Railway Station

A goods train operating on the Vijayawada–Nellore line derailed near Kovvur railway station in Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred on the main line just outside the station premises, causing the locomotive and several wagons to overturn onto the adjacent track. Railway officials quickly cordoned off the affected area and began a preliminary investigation into the cause of the derailment. The derailment has disrupted rail traffic on the line, and alternative arrangements are being made to restore service.
