Goa's tourism department said 7.69 million visitors arrived between January and September, reflecting the state’s push for year‑round travel.
Goa's tourism authority reported that 7.69 million domestic and international tourists visited the coastal state from January through September, marking a significant rise in footfall for the year.
The state government has been actively promoting year‑round tourism, rolling out marketing campaigns and improving infrastructure to attract visitors during the traditionally slower months.
Officials said the sustained inflow is expected to bolster local businesses, from hotels and restaurants to transport operators, and generate additional employment opportunities during the off‑peak season.
The tourism department plans to continue its outreach efforts, aiming to maintain the momentum and further diversify the visitor profile as the year progresses.
