Goa has rolled out a new rule allowing property documents to be registered at any authorized office, aiming to streamline real‑estate transactions and reduce delays.
Goa has introduced a new ‘anywhere registration’ policy that permits property documents to be registered at any authorized office across the state. The move is intended to cut down the time and paperwork traditionally required to complete real‑estate transactions.
Under the reform, buyers, sellers and agents can now submit documents to any government office that is equipped to process registrations, rather than being restricted to a specific district office. This flexibility is expected to reduce bottlenecks and make property deals more efficient.
The state government has highlighted that the policy will also help curb fraud by ensuring that all registrations are handled by certified officials, regardless of location. While the exact implementation timeline has not been disclosed, officials say the new rule will be rolled out in phases over the coming months.
