Goa GST Collections Jump 7% in July; SGST Settlements Surge Over 20%

In July, Goa reported a 7% rise in central GST collections, while state GST settlements climbed more than 20%.

Goa’s revenue department announced that central Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for July increased by 7% compared to the previous month.

State GST (SGST) settlements saw a more than 20% surge, reflecting stronger compliance and higher tax remittances from businesses across the state.

The uptick is expected to bolster Goa’s fiscal position ahead of the annual budget, providing additional resources for infrastructure and public services.

Officials noted that the rise is partly due to improved tax filing processes and a targeted drive to encourage timely payments by the private sector.
