The Goa state government has prohibited two‑wheelers from using the elevated corridor and has sealed all entry and exit points to Porvorim.

The Goa government announced a ban on two‑wheelers from accessing the newly constructed elevated corridor that links key parts of the state. The order applies to all motorcycles and scooters, irrespective of engine capacity, and is effective immediately.
Authorities have also ordered the closure of all designated entry and exit points to the town of Porvorim, effectively restricting vehicular movement in and out of the area. Traffic police have been instructed to enforce the ban and monitor compliance.
The decision is expected to alter commuting patterns for residents who rely on two‑wheelers for daily travel, prompting a shift to alternative modes of transport or longer routes. Officials said enforcement teams will be deployed to ensure the restrictions are observed.
