State Minister Arvind Kejriwal has warned that Goa is among the states most affected by the recent E20 fuel rollout, citing rising fuel costs and supply issues.

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has publicly highlighted Goa as one of the states hardest hit by the nationwide rollout of E20 fuel, which blends 20% ethanol with petrol. The announcement came during a press briefing where Kejriwal pointed to rising fuel prices and shortages reported by Goan motorists.
The E20 mandate, introduced by the central government to reduce carbon emissions, has faced logistical challenges in several states. In Goa, fuel stations have struggled to meet the new blend requirements, leading to longer queues and higher costs at the pump.
Kejriwal urged the central authorities to address the supply bottlenecks and to provide relief measures for consumers in affected regions. He also called for a review of the rollout timeline to ensure a smoother transition for states like Goa.
The Delhi Chief Minister’s remarks have drawn attention to the broader impact of the ethanol blending policy on smaller states, prompting discussions among policymakers about balancing environmental goals with consumer affordability.
