The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has announced the introduction of a new GMAT Superscore feature. This allows candidates to combine their highest section scores from different test attempts.
The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the administrator of the GMAT exam, has launched a significant new feature for test-takers. Known as GMAT Superscore, this enhancement will enable candidates to leverage their best performance across multiple exam sittings.
Under the new Superscore system, GMAC will allow individuals to combine the highest scores achieved in each section of the GMAT from different test attempts. This means that a candidate's overall GMAT score will be calculated using their top score for the Quantitative section, their top score for the Verbal section, and their top score for the Integrated Reasoning section, irrespective of which test date those scores were achieved on.
The introduction of the Superscore feature aims to provide a more accurate reflection of a candidate's abilities by mitigating the impact of a single suboptimal testing day. This change is expected to be beneficial for prospective business school students as they prepare their applications.
