Glenn Phillips hit a hundred while Jacob Duffy claimed three wickets as New Zealand defeated India by 87 runs in the one‑day international.
New Zealand posted a solid total in the ODI, anchored by Glenn Phillips who reached the three‑figure mark. His hundred provided the backbone of the innings and set a challenging target for the visitors.
Phillips' knock came off a steady strike rate, allowing the middle order to rotate the strike and add valuable runs without losing momentum.
Jacob Duffy complemented the batting effort with a fiery spell, picking up three wickets and keeping the Indian chase under pressure. His disciplined line and length prevented any substantial partnerships from forming.
India, despite a brief resurgence, could not bridge the gap and fell 87 runs short, handing New Zealand a comprehensive victory in the match.
