Punjab's Ranji Trophy side counts on the form of Gill and Prabhsimran as they prepare to face Chhattisgarh in the upcoming group match.
Punjab's cricket squad entered the latest Ranji Trophy round with two in‑form batsmen, Gill and Prabhsimran, expected to anchor the batting line‑up against Chhattisgarh. Both players have delivered solid scores in recent domestic fixtures, giving the team a much‑needed boost ahead of the clash.
The Punjab management highlighted the duo's consistency, noting that Gill's ability to build long innings and Prabhsimran's aggressive stroke play could prove decisive on a pitch that favors both pace and spin. Coaches are also counting on their experience to guide younger teammates during high‑pressure moments.
Chhattisgarh, meanwhile, will look to counter Punjab's batting strength with a balanced bowling attack. The encounter, scheduled at a neutral venue, is poised to be a pivotal fixture in the group stage, with points crucial for both sides' progression to the knockout rounds.
If Punjab's top order clicks, the team could secure a comfortable lead, while any early wickets could shift momentum in Chhattisgarh's favour. The match is set to begin later this week, drawing attention from Ranji followers across the country.
