The Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has announced the creation of ready‑to‑use office and research spaces at Verna, aiming to draw startups and R&D firms to the region.
Goa's Industrial Development Corporation disclosed plans to develop plug‑and‑play office blocks and dedicated research facilities within the Verna industrial area. The project will provide fully furnished workstations, high‑speed internet, and shared laboratory infrastructure, allowing companies to commence operations without lengthy setup periods.
The initiative targets technology‑driven startups, biotech firms and other research‑intensive enterprises seeking a cost‑effective base in Goa. GIDC officials said the spaces will be offered on a flexible lease model, with options for short‑term and long‑term occupancy.
Construction is slated to begin in the coming weeks, with the first phase expected to be operational by early next year. The corporation hopes the development will boost employment, foster innovation and reinforce Goa's emerging reputation as a hub for knowledge‑based industries.
