A pile of waste was found a few metres from Mayor Sunil Kothari's residence, outside Bhairon Baba temple, leading the mayor to promise immediate removal.
A heap of solid waste was spotted just outside the Bhairon Baba temple, a short distance from the residence of Jaipur Mayor Sunil Kothari. The accumulation appeared contrary to the city's ongoing "Swachh Jaipur" campaign, which the mayor has been promoting as a model of urban cleanliness.
When queried by the newspaper Amar Ujala, Mayor Kothari acknowledged the issue and assured that municipal crews would be dispatched without delay to clear the debris. He emphasized that the city administration would not tolerate any lapse in the cleanliness standards set by the campaign.
Local residents expressed concern that such visible litter could undermine public confidence in the mayor's cleanliness drive. The municipal corporation has indicated that a rapid clean‑up operation is underway, and officials will monitor the area to prevent recurrence.
