A garage proprietor in Patna was shot by unidentified assailants and later succumbed to injuries while receiving medical care.
Patna police confirmed that a garage owner was shot by a group of unidentified criminals on a city street on Wednesday. The victim, who was returning home after work, was hit by multiple bullets and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Medical officials said the injuries were severe, and despite emergency treatment, the man died later that day while under care.
The incident has raised concerns about a spate of armed attacks in the capital, prompting senior police officials to launch a probe and increase patrols in the area. No arrests have been reported so far, and investigators are seeking witnesses to identify the perpetrators.
