The Gangotri National Highway in Uttarakhand has been reopened after authorities cleared debris caused by recent heavy rains.

The Gangotri National Highway was officially reopened on Tuesday after a cleanup operation removed debris that had blocked the road during the recent downpour. The Uttarakhand Police and the State Traffic Department coordinated the clearance, which involved removing fallen trees and washed‑out road sections. Traffic has resumed along the 100‑kilometre stretch, with authorities urging drivers to exercise caution as rainfall continues in the region. The highway, a vital link for pilgrims and tourists heading to the holy town of Gangotri, had been closed for several days, disrupting travel plans.
