Four Youths Assault Painter in Bhopal, Victim Dies After Head Injury

During a drinking gathering in Vijay Nagar, four young men beat 24‑year‑old painter Deepak Meena, who later died from a head injury.
At around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, a drinking party in Vijay Nagar, Bhopal, turned violent when a verbal quarrel erupted between the host and four young men. The quarrel escalated into a physical assault, during which the men repeatedly struck 24‑year‑old painter Deepak Meena on the head. Witnesses say Meena suffered a severe head injury and was left at the scene before the assailants fled.
Police arrived shortly after the incident and found Meena unconscious with a pronounced skull fracture. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but could not be revived. The local police station has opened a case under the Indian Penal Code for murder and assault.
The four accused have been identified by the police and are currently in custody. They are being interrogated for their motive and the circumstances that led to the fatal attack.
