Four siblings drown while trying to rescue brother in Dhaulpur pond

Two sisters and a cousin jumped into a pond in Angai area of Dhaulpur to save their brother, but all four drowned.
Authorities said a tragic drowning occurred in the Angai police jurisdiction of Dhaulpur, Rajasthan, when a brother fell into a shallow pond. Two of his sisters and a cousin sister immediately leapt into the water in an attempt to pull him out. Despite their efforts, all four siblings were pulled under and could not be revived.
Local police and rescue teams reached the site quickly, but the depth and strong currents of the pond hampered the rescue operation. The bodies of the four victims were later recovered and handed over to their families.
Investigators have opened a case to determine whether any negligence contributed to the incident and to recommend safety measures for similar water bodies in the area. Community members expressed grief and called for better signage and barriers around ponds to prevent future accidents.
