Four Myanmar nationals detained at Katihar railway station for illegal entry

Security agencies arrested four Myanmar nationals at Katihar station after they were found without passports or visas, and one accomplice was taken into custody.
Four citizens of Myanmar were intercepted aboard the North East Express at Katihar railway station in Bihar. A routine inspection by railway police revealed that none of them possessed valid travel documents such as passports or Indian visas, prompting immediate detention.
The detainees are being held on suspicion of illegal entry into India. Security agencies, including the Railway Protection Force and local police, have issued an alert to monitor any further attempts at unauthorized crossing in the region.
During the investigation, authorities also arrested one individual believed to have facilitated the entry. The suspect is currently being interrogated, and legal proceedings are expected to follow.
