An accidental explosion while disposing of explosives injured four Central Reserve Police Force members in Chhattisgarh, officials said.

Four personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sustained injuries after an unintended blast occurred during an explosives disposal operation in Chhattisgarh, according to official statements. The incident took place while the team was attempting to neutralise a suspected explosive device, but the device detonated prematurely, causing shrapnel injuries to the officers on site.

Medical teams were promptly dispatched to the location, and the injured personnel were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. Initial reports indicate that the injuries are non‑fatal, and no civilian casualties have been reported.

The CRPF has launched an internal inquiry to determine the cause of the mishap and to review safety protocols for future disposal operations. Local authorities have been informed, and the area has been secured pending further investigation.
