Four suspects, including Dhola Ram of Ranivada in Jalore, turned themselves in after being linked to a fake taekwondo certificate scheme that allegedly secured sports‑quota positions in the 2022 third‑grade teacher recruitment.

The Rajasthan government’s third‑grade teacher recruitment for 2022 has come under scrutiny after police uncovered a scheme that allegedly used forged taekwondo certificates to obtain sports‑quota seats. Investigators say the fraud involved payments of up to four lakh rupees per candidate to secure the coveted positions.

According to the police, four individuals, among them a local resident identified as Dhola Ram from the Ranivada area of Jalore district, surrendered voluntarily after being named in the case. The surrender was recorded at the Jalore district police station, where the accused were handed over to investigative officials.

Authorities have seized related documents and are probing the network that produced the counterfeit certificates. The suspects face charges of forgery, cheating and corruption under the Indian Penal Code, and could face rigorous imprisonment if convicted.

The incident adds to a series of recruitment‑related scandals in the state, prompting calls for stricter verification of sports‑quota claims and greater transparency in the hiring process for teachers.
