Atar Singh Bhadana, a former MLA from Bayana, died after being beaten in a violent clash over a crusher plant and mining lease in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. His body was taken to Faridabad for the last rites.

A two‑year long dispute over a crusher plant and a mining lease in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting in the death of former legislator Atar Singh Bhadana. Bhadana, who had represented the Bayana constituency, was reportedly beaten to death during the clash.

Local sources said the altercation involved parties linked to the mining project, and the intensity of the fight turned fatal. The incident has heightened concerns about law‑and‑order challenges surrounding resource extraction in the region.

Following his death, Bhadana's family transported his remains to Faridabad, Haryana, where a funeral ceremony was conducted. The rites were attended by relatives and local community members.

Police have opened a case of homicide and are investigating the identities of those involved in the assault. The investigation is ongoing, and officials have not yet released details on possible arrests.

The incident underscores the volatile nature of land and mining disputes in Rajasthan, prompting calls for stricter enforcement of dispute‑resolution mechanisms.
