Anil Sole, a former BJP candidate in Nagpur, announced his withdrawal from the upcoming election and pledged support to the party.
Anil Sole, who had been slated to contest the upcoming Maharashtra elections from Nagpur, publicly announced that he is pulling out of the race. The decision was communicated through a brief statement released on the day of the announcement, confirming that he will no longer be a candidate.
In his statement, Sole said he will continue to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its candidates in the constituency. He did not provide detailed reasons for the withdrawal, but emphasized his commitment to the party's broader agenda.
BJP officials in Nagpur welcomed the move, describing it as a demonstration of party unity ahead of the polls. Opposition parties noted the development but did not comment further on its electoral impact.
Political analysts suggest that Sole's withdrawal could consolidate the BJP's vote base in Nagpur, though the final effect will depend on how other candidates position themselves in the remaining campaign period.
