Former RJD MLC Subodh Rai has been arrested and sent to jail in connection with an alleged illegal liquor factory raid in Ranchi. Authorities seized 303 cases of suspected illicit foreign liquor.
Authorities in Ranchi have arrested Subodh Rai, a former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from Vaishali, Bihar, in connection with an alleged illegal liquor manufacturing operation. Rai, who represented the RJD party, has been taken into judicial custody.
The arrest follows a raid on the suspected factory premises where a significant quantity of liquor was discovered. Officials reported the seizure of 303 cases of what is believed to be illicit foreign liquor.
