Two forest personnel were taken into custody by the Anti‑Corruption Bureau for allegedly accepting a Rs 50,000 bribe to expedite a film‑shooting NOC and return security fees at Naharghar Wildlife Sanctuary.

Forest Department staff Shyam Singh, a forest ranger, and Shiv Kishor, a forest guard, were arrested by Rajasthan's Anti‑Corruption Bureau (ACB) after investigators linked them to a bribery scheme at Naharghar Wildlife Sanctuary in Jaipur.
The officials are accused of demanding a payment of Rs 50,000 from a film crew seeking a No‑Objection Certificate (NOC) for shooting inside the protected area, and of pocketing the amount that was supposed to be returned as security.
The ACB, acting on a complaint, conducted a raid and seized cash, leading to the immediate detention of both men. They are now facing charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act and relevant forest protection statutes.
The incident has raised concerns among filmmakers and conservationists, highlighting the need for stricter oversight of permits and financial transactions within protected zones.
