Flipkart's Beauty and Personal Care category has achieved a 50% year-on-year growth, with GenZ consumers spearheading nearly 60% of all beauty purchases on the platform.

Flipkart, India's homegrown e-commerce giant, has announced significant growth in its Beauty and Personal Care segment, reporting a 50% year-on-year expansion. This surge is largely propelled by the younger demographic, GenZ, who now account for nearly 60% of all beauty product purchases on the platform.

The platform's reach is extending beyond major metropolitan areas, with a substantial contribution from shoppers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Data reveals that two out of every three beauty searches on Flipkart originate from non-metro locations, including cities like Cuttack, Bardhaman, Gorakhpur, Kottayam, Guntur, and Jamnagar. These consumers are increasingly influencing national beauty trends and purchasing decisions.

These key insights were shared during the fourth edition of Glam Up Fest 2026, held in New Delhi. The event convened over 100 prominent beauty brands and more than 6,000 creators, influencers, and celebrities, highlighting the evolving landscape of India's beauty market.
