Five pupils from Yadavendra Public School in Patiala were rushed to hospitals after abruptly falling ill, with authorities suspecting food poisoning.
Patiala, Punjab – Five students of Yadavendra Public School were taken to nearby hospitals on Tuesday after experiencing sudden vomiting and abdominal pain during school hours. The children, aged between 8 and 12, were admitted for observation and supportive care.
School officials immediately informed parents and coordinated with local health authorities. Preliminary statements from the district health officer indicated that a food‑borne illness is the most likely cause, pending laboratory confirmation of the suspected contaminant.
